29: Paying Money Matters

I recently got an email from my podcast service provider that they are changing things up and I no longer fit into the free plan category as I have too many listeners.  Basically, if I want to stay with them as my provider, I have to upgrade my plan and start paying a monthly fee.   I gladly took out my credit card and signed up for the upgrade immediately and here is why.

28: Transform Your Life By Letting Go Of These 3 Simple Words

So, life over this past couple of weeks has been challenging.  I’m not going to sugar coat it.  Having the kids at home every single hour of the day.  Keeping my business moving forward.  Studying and home schooling. Are you kidding me? I’m confident most of you can relate.  Many of us, have had to adjust to a new normal.  Navigating these choppy waters to try and find somewhere calm has been a challenge.   I can assure you I am still seeking the smooth sailing.  I have had moments of it for sure.  Moments when I’ve accepted that I’m in uncharted territory and moments when I have been in complete rebellion.  Letting go of the helm, despite the choppy waters because quite frankly in the moment it has all felt too hard.

27: Victim or Badass

I’m in a lot of Facebook groups that are about money.  Recently, I was following a thread on one such group. A woman made a comment that went something like this:  She still had enough money to cover her rent for a period of time but her and her partner had lost their jobs due to COVID19 and she wanted to hear from others about their experiences.  There were a lot of comments on the thread.  From tenants, landlords and property managers.  It was very interesting.

26: Two Barriers Getting in the Way of Your Success

This episode is for all my perfectionist soul mates out there.  I may have struggled a lot with perfectionism in my past, allegedly…  I may still have the odd bout of it but I’m working on having it less and less in my life. I feel like this is an area I have some expertise in.  Also as a teacher, sadly, I see too many kids already effected by perfectionism at a really young age.  Hence, why this is such an important topic to be aware of. Have you ever experienced self-doubt or had a thought that sounds a little something like this?  ‘I’m not good enough’.  Or a variation of it: ‘It’s not good enough’, ‘I have to get it right’.  However, it sounds for you in your head, I know you understand me.

25: Wonder Woman’s Guide To Money with Natasha Janssens

Written by a working mum of two, the Wonder Woman's Guide to Money addresses the plight of the modern-day 'Wonder Woman' and helps her shift the way she feels about money forever by providing the tools, strategies and insight to take control of her financial future. The growing pressure on today's woman to 'do it all' is immense.  She has a career, runs the household and is the primary caregiver of her children, while still being held to outdated standards about her appearance and role in society.  Moreover, despite being the primary household spenders, research has found that women tend to shy away from money matters and tend to have less financial confidence than men.

24: How to Make Money with Your Mind with Life Coach Kathryn Green

Today on the show, we are talking about money and how to make it. I love money and the information we covered today is the most important information when it comes to making money. Next week on the show, we have a financial expert who is discussing the ins and outs and the details of the 'how to' in money management. But if you really want to 'make the money', not just 'manage the money' you already have, you absolutely have to learn how to manage your mind and create thoughts that help you make more money. This is the foundation that everything else flows from.

23: The number one thing you should be investing in

I borrowed this book from the library a few weeks back called Property vs Shares: Discover your knockout investment strategy.  To be honest I haven’t read it. I confess I’m a serial book stalker at the library and I admit I have a problem.  I will borrow about 10 books at a time and there is no way I will actually get through them before they are due back. But getting back to the book, which one is better, property or shares? And which one should you be investing in?

22: 8 Steps to Create Money Confidence

Today we are going to talk about money confidence- why many of us don’t have it and how to get it. First let’s start with what money confidence is. Confidence as in self-confidence is a state of being. It’s about trusting yourself. Having an inner knowing that you have your own back. You do what you say you will do, you follow through and if it all goes to shit you back yourself and compassionately lift yourself back up and try again. You don’t beat yourself up and therefore you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and give it a go.

21: How to help yourself win

Have you ever been in a situation where you signed up to the gym and didn’t go? Or decided you were going to get your financial shit together and start saving but somehow you always seemed to have a bill due or just couldn’t get started? Or you made a start on that new goal, whatever it was but it just felt too overwhelming. You just couldn’t manage to go for that run every morning because you were too tired and up all night with your kid.

20: Spenditude: A life-changing attitude to money

What if you could gain financial security and live the life of your dreams just by changing your attitude? Is that even possible? According to Paul and Janine authors of Spenditude, it is not our age or income that influences our financial success but rather our 'spenditude'- our attitude towards money. Are you a spender, a slender or a defender?  Paul and Janine are on the show to help us identify our spenditude and how we can make small incremental changes to get us on the right path to financial security.
